What's the Buzz? 4/24/06
Kind of a slow news day today...
Tigers DH Dmitri Young took batting practice today with the team, but it still looks like he may be out a little longer. He is eligible to come of the DL on Sunday, but the Tigers will wait until atleast then to make a decision.
Pitcher Chris Young of the Padres has been diagnosed with a blockage of the digital artery on the ulnar side of the thumb. He probably won't make his next start and the team is waiting to see if a trip to the DL is necessary.
And finally, the Arizona Diamondbacks have officially removed Russ Ortiz from the rotation. He's 0-3 with a 6.91 ERA and has really just looked awful so far. They may call up either Kevin Jarvis or Enrique Gonzalez to take his place.
