Injury Update

Red Sox centerfielder Coco Crisp has a fractured index finger. It will be splinted and re-evaluated in 10 days, but there is speculation that he could be out for a month. Adam Stern and Wily Mo Pena will get the starts in his absence, with the majority probably going to Stern. Crisp should end up on the 15 day DL, but he bounced back last year from a "broken" thumb quicker than expected.

Braves' 3B Chipper Jones has been diagnosed with a lateral sprain in his right ankle, but also tweaked his right knee. They're going to see how he responds today before ordering the MRI. Consider him day to day, but adding Wilson Betemit might not be a bad idea.

Cubs pitchers, Kerry Wood and Mark Prior are still rehabbing in the minors right now. Both were expected back by the end of April and there has been no word on any changes to that.

Catcher Yorvit Torrealba remains on the 15 day DL with a shoulder issue. An MRI revealed no structural damage but he will not throw at all for atleast 2 weeks.

Nomar Garciaparra is on the 15 day DL with a strained rib muscle. This is probably just the beginning of his injuries this year, so stay away.

Padres' 1B Ryan Klesko will undergo shoulder surgery to repair the AC joint. His age is a huge factor in his ability to rehab, so Adrian Gonzalez looks like a wise choice for both you and the Pods.

OF Mike Cameron is recovering from an oblique strain and should be ready to go by id April when he is eligible to come off the DL.

For the Giants, it appears to be one on, one off as Noah Lowry will be on the DL until late April with an oblique strain while closer Armando Benitez says he will be back on April 17th when he is eligible to come off the DL.

Tigers' closer Todd Jones is on schedule to return on the 16th or 17th so look for Fernando Rodney to return to his setup duties. It also delays the arrival of Joel Zumaya as a potential closer in Motown.

The Royals are saying that pitcher Zack Grienke is close to returning, but really....do you think you want him on your roster? Say yes if you want to see an increase in your WHIP and ERA.

The Devil Rays won't see OF Rocco Baldelli until May but they will see SS Julio Lugo return by the 20th of April.
